Job summary

Harris Teeter in Alexandria, VA seeks a Floater Pharmacist (Modified Hours) to deliver professional pharmacy services at Retail Store Locations. You will supervise the pharmacy team onsite, fill prescriptions accurately, immunize patients, and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.

This salaried role requires a Pharmacist license, PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, immunization certification and CPR, strong communication, and the ability to work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist, in good standing, within the state(s) of the region, as necessary
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Immunization-certified through APhA and CPR-certified through an accredited, state-approved organization
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Numerical and financial aptitude
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to understand and solve complex problems

Responsibilities

• Be dedicated to pharmacy department success by executing strategy and motivating staff as the pharmacist-on-duty
• Fulfill customer’s prescription needs while concentrating on the accuracy of every prescription filled
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state and federal laws
• Supervise pharmacy technicians when acting as the pharmacist-on-duty
• Provide direct patient clinical services, including immunizations, patient coaching services and medication therapy management
• Maintain proper records, inventory and security on all scheduled drugs (i.e. controlled substances-narcotics)
