Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacist Informatics Specialist to support the medication electronic health record and clinical informatics initiatives. You will serve as a liaison between clinicians and IT, translating clinical decisions into system builds and optimizing medication workflows.

The role requires EPIC Willow certification, 3 years of pharmacy informatics experience, and the ability to work remotely from WI with first-shift hours and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Epic Willow certified.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into clear system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional decision-making.
• Proactive identification and communication of risks.
• Ability to work independently while appropriately seeking peer review and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication electronic health record and act as a liaison for clinical informatics.
• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems that advance evidence-based practice and optimize medication workflows.
• Designs, evaluates, and implements new EHR builds to support clinical practice and patient safety.
• Consults with providers and leadership to evaluate information systems and communicates complex informatics issues.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Assists in creating data analytics to facilitate data review and performance improvement.
• Develops and implements automated clinical rules supporting patient care.
• Consults with external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
