Job summary
Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist to leverage clinical and informatics skills for the medication electronic health record. You will serve as a liaison between clinicians and IT, developing informatics plans, data analyses, and systems to support evidence-based practice and patient safety.
The role requires Epic Willow certification and at least 3 years of pharmacist experience (or PGY1/PGY2 in pharmacy informatics).
Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of practice or eligible for reciprocity.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
- 3 years of pharmacist experience or PGY1/PGY2 in pharmacy informatics.
- EPIC Willow certification preferred; ability to work with informatics teams.
Responsibilities
- Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR.
- Serves as liaison between clinicians and informatics/IT to improve workflows.
- Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems to advance safety.
- Designs and implements EHR build changes to support practice.
- Consults with providers and leadership to optimize information systems.
- Creates data analytics to improve performance and patient care.
