Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a pharmacist informatics professional to support the medication EHR, act as a liaison for clinical informatics, and develop data-driven informatics plans to improve medication safety and workflows. This role emphasizes collaboration with clinicians and IT to implement system builds that enhance patient care quality.

The position is remote with standard first-shift hours and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• 3 years of pharmacist experience or completion of PGY1/PGY2 in pharmacy informatics is required.
• Epic Willow certification is preferred.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, automated dispensing systems, or infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions into clear system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making and identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Leverages pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication electronic health record as liaison for clinical informatics.
• Develops informatics plans, data analysis, and systems to advance evidence-based practice and medication safety.
• Designs and implements new EHR builds to support clinical practice and improve quality and safety.
• Consults with providers and leadership to evaluate information systems and communicate complex informatics issues.
• Supports informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Creates data analytics to facilitate data review and performance improvement.
• Develops automated clinical rules to support patient care.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements through coordination with external agencies.
