Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a pharmacist informatics specialist to enhance the medication electronic health record. You will serve as a liaison between clinicians and IT, shaping informatics plans and data analytics to improve medication safety and workflows.

The role requires clinical pharmacy expertise, EPIC informatics experience, and the ability to work remotely with first-shift schedules and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Epic Willow certification preferred and highly valued.
• Experience with medication records, formularies, shortages, CNR/dispense prep, labeling, interfaces, and infusion pumps.
• Ability to translate clinical decisions and operational needs into system build requirements.
• Ability to facilitate effective cross-functional decision-making.
• Proactive identification and communication of risks.
• Ability to work independently while seeking peer review and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leverage pharmacist clinical and informatics skills to support the medication EHR and act as a liaison.
• Develop informatics plans, perform data analysis, and improve medication safety and workflows.
• Design, evaluate, and implement new EHR builds to enhance patient care quality and safety.
• Consult with providers and leadership to align information systems with clinical practice.
• Support informatics solutions for clinical and operational improvements.
• Create data analytics for data review and performance improvement.
• Develop automated clinical rules supporting patient care.
• Collaborate with external agencies to ensure regulatory compliance.
