Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking a Pharmacist for a 0.875 FTE night schedule (7 days on, 7 days off). A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible external candidates. You will participate in an interdisciplinary team, review orders, provide drug information, and support medication safety initiatives.

Applicants must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a Michigan Pharmacist license; a Michigan Controlled Substance license is required. Join Lifepoint Health in serving our community.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy prior to order entry and checks accuracy after filling by technicians.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

How you'll contribute

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.

• Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state Michigan Pharmacy License and possess a doctorate's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Additional requirements include:
