Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our team for a night shift position. You will participate in medication management and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient care in a hospital setting.

The role offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible external candidates and a schedule of .875 FTE (7 days on, 7 days off nights). You will provide education to staff and patients while maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

• Michigan Pharmacist license
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• MI Pharmacist Controlled Substance License

Responsibilities

• Manage drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Review, interpret and evaluate medication orders to prevent and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
• Document interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluate medication orders for accuracy before entry and check for accuracy after filling by technicians.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

How You'll Contribute

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.

• Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state Michigan Pharmacy License and possess a doctorate's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Additional requirements include:

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy
• License: Current license with the state Board of Pharmacy
• MI Pharmacist Controlled Substance License
