Job summary

UP Health System Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Pharmacist to join overnight shifts at the Marquette campus. The position is 0.875 FTE (7 days on, 7 days off, nights).

The role emphasizes drug therapy management, patient care education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize medication outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Current license with the state Board of Pharmacy.
• MI Pharmacist Controlled Substance License.

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
• Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state Michigan Pharmacy License and possess a doctorate's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Additional requirements include:
