Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking an experienced pharmacist for an evening, part-time role in the Pharmacy department. You will review, verify, compound, dispense, and oversee appropriate medication management, provide drug information and patient counseling, and support academic initiatives as a preceptor.

• Ensure safe and effective medication management by reviewing, verifying, compounding, dispensing, and overseeing appropriate selection, dosing, and administration of medications.
• Identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems; recommend formulary alternatives; and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to optimize patient care.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technical personnel in medication preparation, maintenance, and distribution processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide drug information, patient counseling, and education to medical staff and patients; support academic initiatives as a preceptor and provide coverage across pharmacy operations as needed.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Pharmacist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
