Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL seeks a licensed pharmacist for a per diem, variable-shift role to support the Pharmacy Department under the Director of Pharmacy in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.

The role involves coordinating pharmacy operations and ensuring patient safety across departments, including General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, peri-operative, geriatrics and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pharmacy department activities to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care.
• Ensure patient safety across departments including General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, ED, Oncology, peri-operative, geriatrics and outpatient services.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
2. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
4. BLS and ACLS certification preferred
