Job summary

Merkley + Partners is seeking an Associate Director of Social Strategy (Pharma) to lead social strategy and content for leading pharma brands. You will work with Brand, Engagement Strategy, Account, and Creative teams to craft connected social experiences for consumer/patient and HCP audiences, translating insights into engaging content that drives measurable business impact.

You will guide development of social strategies, manage platforms, and mentor junior staff within an agency environment,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in social media marketing, including pharma/healthcare agency experience.
• DTC experience required, Oncology experience preferred.
• Proven ability to influence clients and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive social strategies across channels for pharma brands.
• Create social briefs, decks, and tactical guides.
• Manage Business Manager accounts and ad testing workflows.
• Analyze audience behavior to inform creative experiences.
• Identify trends and conduct social listening to guide planning.
• Mentor junior strategists and contribute to pitches and thought leadership.
