Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer (Utility Operator) to support a leading pharmaceutical client in Lebanon, IN. You will monitor, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical and utility infrastructure within a highly regulated facility, ensuring peak performance and reliability.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, preventive and corrective maintenance, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. A 12-hour shift (A shift) is involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Able to meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, climbing, heavy lifting).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to improve efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of hazardous materials.
• Review building systems inspections to meet design and environmental specs.
• Share knowledge and coach others across disciplines.
• Lead by example and support CBRE values.
• Impact multiple customer, operational or service activities.
• Work within established guidelines and policies.
• Explain complex information clearly.
