Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of HR or administrative support experience, preferably healthcare or hospice.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Discretion handling sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity).
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Post job openings and screen candidates, schedule interviews, and conduct reference checks.
• Assist with onboarding, including background checks and new hire orientation.
• Travel to Sacramento, Fairfield, Concord for onboarding when needed (not weekly).
• Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Process new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, and termination documentation.
• Track credentials, licenses, certifications, and annual trainings.
• Help administer benefits and respond to employee inquiries.
• Support employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs.
• Prepare staffing, turnover, and training reports.
• Provide administrative support to HR Analyst and assist with special projects.
