Job summary

Community Hospice & Health Services in Modesto is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations including benefits, recruitment, onboarding, workers' compensation, and employee relations.

You will work closely with management to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain HRIS data, generate reports, and assist with salary offers, job descriptions, and new hire orientation. A degree with experience is required.

Qualifications

• AA degree with 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's with 2 years of experience.
• Progressive experience in a Human Resources department.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain autonomy, organization, and flexibility.
• Maintain confidentiality with discretion and professionalism.
• Certification in Human Resources desired.

Responsibilities

• Support daily HR operations including benefit administration, recruitment, onboarding, leaves, and workers' compensation.
• Maintain HRIS data, generate reports, and handle employee relations with management.
• Administer leaves of absence, final pay, and exit interviews when needed.
• Assist with salary offers, compensation research, and job descriptions.
• Prepare hiring paperwork and new hire orientation.
• Conduct HR presentations on benefits, leaves, and other topics.
