Job summary

Tractor Supply Company / Petsense in Ruston, LA is seeking a Team Member to support store operations, merchandising and customer service. You will assist in training new team members, handle and care for live animals, and help maintain a safe, organized shopping environment.

The role requires flexibility with shift hours, strong customer service skills and ability to lift and handle merchandise. Knowledge of live animals is a plus, with opportunities to grow within a nationwide retailer.

Qualifications

• Retail experience or pet/live animal knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and count accurately.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager and ASM with operations, sales and merchandising.
• Maintain attendance, scheduling and store policies.
• Promote a safe, productive work environment for team, customers and vendors.
• Handle cash register and banking procedures and reconcile cash drawers daily.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and resolve issues to ensure positive experiences.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and merchandising plans.
