Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to lead daily store operations and deliver exceptional neighborly service to customers and their pets. You will collaborate with store leaders, reinforce PSP standards, and ensure a clean, safe, and friendly shopping environment.

The role requires 2+ years of retail experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong sales and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong sales and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to operate all equipment including a forklift to run the store.
• Flexibility in schedules; reliable transportation; pass drug screening where allowed by law; 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide neighborly service and lead store operations.
• Offer product recommendations; greet regular customers.
• Train and support team members; reinforce daily procedures.
• Assist store leaders with recruiting, onboarding and development.
• Manage back-office tasks like price changes and cashier records.
• Contribute to community engagement and store performance improvements.
• Act as a manager-on-duty when needed; support other shifts.
• Perform nail trims on pets when required.
