Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor who leads daily operations, upholds PSP standards, and delivers exceptional neighborly service to every customer and pet in the store.

You will partner with team leaders, supervise front-line staff, support recruiting and onboarding, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and high-quality customer experiences across all shifts, while staying flexible with scheduling and store needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years retail experience with strong customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer tasks.
• Ability to operate equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations and reinforce PSP standards and daily routines.
• Provide leadership coverage up to four days a week when managers are offsite.
• Ensure cleanliness, animal care, safety and security throughout shifts.
• Handle back office tasks: signage, price changes, and cashier records.
• Involvement in recruiting, onboarding and team member development.
• Share opportunities to improve community engagement or store performance.
• Act as a team member when not acting as manager-on-duty; perform nail trims as needed.
