Job summary

PetSmart is seeking an Assistant Store Manager Customer Experience to lead the store with a focus on creating exceptional pet-parent experiences and driving results. You will coach teams, manage daily operations, and ensure safety and quality in every interaction with pets and customers.

Delivering strong leadership, you’ll partner with store leadership to execute on staffing, training, and customer service standards while upholding PetSmart’s values and culture.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach associates on proper processes to ensure pets in our care are safe and healthy.
• Coordinate staffing coverage for experience activities in pivotal areas of the store.
• Communicate priorities to associates to ensure alignment and deliver on expectations.
• Oversee the pet parent experience across services (salon, training, hotel and day camp), live pet sales and adoptions.
• Drive store P&L targets and manage expenses such as labor and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and uphold brand standards.
