Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking an Assistant General Manager for BreedAbove in Ann Arbor, MI. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, develop the team, and deliver exceptional care for pets and their people.

Lead culture, manage guest experiences, monitor KPIs, and support budgeting while driving growth in memberships and services. This is a hands-on, full-time leadership role with room to advance within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of customer service experience with leadership
• Strong communication and people skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems
• Availability to work up to 45–50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for pet transport in emergencies

Responsibilities

• Model values and lead the Resort Leadership Team
• Coach Shift Leads and Team Members to build capability
• Recognize performance and address concerns promptly
• Partner with General Manager to create an engaging workplace culture
• Maintain operational excellence across pet care, facilities, and safety
• Lead shifts as Manager on Duty and ensure staffing and scheduling
• Support marketing programs and local lead-generation
• Track KPIs and manage budgets and expenses
