National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Advantage Pet Center in Largo, Florida. You will partner with the General Manager to run day-to-day operations, develop the team, and deliver outstanding care for pets and their families.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service excellence, and financial stewardship within a hands-on, high-energy resort environment. A strong culture and growth opportunities are central to this team.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of customer service experience; leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading teams in a hands-on environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Availability to work up to 45 to 50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and a vehicle for pet transport in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Model NVA values and leadership competencies daily.
• Coach and develop Shift Leads and Team Members to build capability and confidence.
• Lead 1 to 2 shifts per week as Manager on Duty; supervise staffing and labor guidelines.
• Ensure operational excellence in pet care, facility standards, cleanliness, and safety.
• Resolve customer concerns with empathy and professionalism; maintain service standards.
• Partner with the General Manager to create an engaging workplace culture.
• Support marketing programs and local lead-generation efforts; track outcomes.
