Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking a General Manager for our PetSuites Hoover resort in Hoover, Alabama. You’ll own site performance, lead a diverse team, and deliver exceptional pet care and guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

The role blends hands-on leadership with business ownership, driving revenue, managing costs, and building a culture of growth and accountability across the team.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of management experience with P&L responsibility.
• Strong operational leadership and the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Availability to work up to 45 to 50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and a vehicle for pet transport in an emergency.
• Ability to drive change, improve processes, and influence outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and uphold NVA’s mission, values, and objectives.
• Own resort performance against budget and key metrics including revenue, labor, COGS, expenses, and EBITDA.
• Create and execute a data-driven resort plan aligned to regional and company initiatives.
• Build and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on lead generation, conversion, and retention.
• Hire, onboard, train, and retain a high-performing team across front- and back-of-house operations.
• Ensure operational excellence across safety, pet care, facility standards, and compliance.
