Job summary

K9 Resorts in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our team, partner with the General Manager, and drive performance across pet care resorts. You will coach Supervisors and Pet Care Technicians, oversee scheduling, inventory, and safety, and ensure a 5-Star customer experience while expanding local partnerships.

This is a hands-on leadership role with growth opportunities in operations, marketing, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in pet care, daycare, boarding, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Business-minded with an understanding of operations and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• High emotional intelligence and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, CSRs, and Pet Care Technicians.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Oversee daily operations for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
• Assist with inventory, procurement, and facility maintenance.
• Monitor KPIs and support operational and financial performance.
• Drive customer experience and retention through 5-Star service.
• Act as Brand Ambassador and support marketing initiatives.
