Job summary

K9 Resorts is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive performance and lead a team across our luxury dog resorts. You’ll partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, growth, and adherence to the highest standards of care.

This leadership role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, customer experience, and brand representation in the community, while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Prior management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in pet care, daycare, boarding, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Business-minded with an understanding of operations and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• High emotional intelligence and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, CSRs, and Pet Care Technicians.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Drive accountability, performance management, and team engagement.
• Lead by example—culture, professionalism, and results.
• Facilitate team meetings, huddles, and continuous feedback.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and oversee scheduling, staffing, and labor management.
• Ensure daily operations are efficient, clean, and safe; manage inventory and maintenance.
• Monitor KPIs and support operational and financial performance.
• Deliver 5-Star customer service and drive client conversion and retention.
• Represent the brand in community outreach and marketing initiatives.
