NVA Pet Resorts in Derry, NH, is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and lead day-to-day operations, staff development, and top-tier pet care. This full-time role emphasizes culture, service excellence, and results in a fast-growing resort environment.

You'll manage shifts, drive performance, and collaborate on budgeting, guest experience, and local marketing efforts while upholding safety and service standards for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years of customer service experience (leadership experience is a plus).
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading teams in a hands-on environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Availability to work up to 45 to 50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and a vehicle to transport a pet in case of emergency.
• Ability to support and influence workplace change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and develop the team.
• Partner with GM to run operations and ensure outstanding pet care and customer service.
• Drive strong financial performance through revenue growth and cost management.
• Coach and develop Shift Leads and Team Members to build capability and confidence.
• Maintain operational excellence across care, facility standards, cleanliness, and safety.
• Lead 1–2 shifts per week as Manager on Duty and ensure proper staffing and labor guidelines.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and expense management to meet targets.
• Foster a positive, engaging workplace culture aligned with company values.
