Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking a General Manager for The Barking Dog – Derry, NH. You will lead the site’s overall performance, driving guest experience, revenue growth, and profitability while building a capable team that delivers exceptional pet care and customer service.

The role blends hands-on leadership with business ownership, requiring a strong P&L background and the ability to coach leaders, manage costs, and guide a high-performing staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of management experience, including Profit and Loss responsibility.
• Strong operational leadership and the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Availability to work up to 45 to 50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and communicate the brand and objectives.
• Own resort performance against budget and key metrics including revenue, labor, costs, expenses, and EBITDA.
• Build and execute data-driven plans aligned to regional initiatives and growth.
• Hire, onboard, train, and retain a high-performing team across front- and back-of-house operations.
• Ensure operational excellence across safety, pet care, facility standards, and guest experience.
