Job summary

Petco in New York is seeking a Hospital Concierge to deliver outstanding customer care to our Vetco Total Care clients and their pets. You will be the first and last contact, greeting clients, answering calls, and routing requests to the clinical team.

You will manage the appointment calendar, confirm visits, assist with throughput during busy times, and help maintain a clean, welcoming waiting area while showing compassion and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, sympathetic, and professional demeanor.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn and adapt.
• Preferred: Experience with a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer the practice phone and route calls.
• Maintain hospital appointment calendar and online bookings.
• Greet visitors and clients by name; notify staff of arrivals.
• Assist in training of new staff and knowledge sharing.
• Keep waiting area clean and stocked; disinfect as needed.
• Confirm appointments by client preference the day before.
