Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join the El Paso Gateway Cancer Center team. The role involves performing PET imaging procedures, patient preparation, QA, and collaboration with Medical Director and management on technical issues.

The position may be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience. Candidates should have Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology training, CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification, and at least 3–5 years of nuclear medicine experience.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum three to five years experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience preferred.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
  • Level 2 requires five years in nuclear medicine with at least two years PET experience.
  • Level Sr requires a Bachelors degree and four years nuclear medical PET experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and image acquisition.
  • Assists in scheduling and front office tasks to maintain workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographics and report distribution.
  • Maintains safety standards and conducts daily quality control checks.
  • Archives and transfers images and manages film data and data security.
