Job summary

US Oncology Inc. in Amarillo, TX seeks a PET/CT Technologist to perform diagnostic PET imaging and related functions under supervision. The role involves collaboration with Medical Director, QA, and compliance activities. Depending on experience, level 1, 2 or Sr will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have a Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology background with PET-CT certification and CNMT/ARRT credentials. Strong patient interaction and safety discipline are required.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or from an AMA accredited program.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA accredited program and PET-CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including radiopharmaceutical injection, contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction, image transfers and archiving.
• Assists in procedure scheduling and front office tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution and filing; supports data collection for follow-up and education.
• Maintains safety standards and conducts daily QA to monitor scanner performance.
• Reports malfunctions and coordinates service as needed.
• Manages patient data and films including printing, archiving, retrieval and transfers.
