Gateway Services Inc. in Greenville, SC is hiring a Veterinary Route Service Specialist to serve as the face of the company with veterinary clinics and pet parents. This role requires independent work on a demanding route, handling pets with care and professionalism.

You will build trusted clinic relationships, ensure accurate pickups and deliveries, and maintain high standards of safety and dignity. Training is provided, and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service, account management, or route-based experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and CRM systems.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review daily routes, load required equipment, and verify items before departure.
• Visit assigned veterinary clinics, maintain professional relationships, and follow clinic procedures.
• Retrieve deceased pets respectfully, often from chest freezers.
• Use company technology to scan pets at pickup and delivery; verify names, IDs, and instructions.
• Document requests accurately and complete all follow-through.
• Interact with pet parents with compassion and professionalism.
• Return to the Care Center to unload and hand off to Operations.
• Maintain responsibility for each pet until received and documented.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clinics and address questions promptly.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality service and gather feedback to improve the clinic experience.
• Complete route stops accurately and on time; follow safety policies.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment, and uniform cleanliness and professionalism.
• Support basic account-related administrative tasks.
• Provide clinics with information on services and commemorative options.
• Identify service opportunities and refer leads to Business Development.
