Job summary

Long Hollow Animal Hospital is seeking a courteous Part-time Customer Service Representative to join our team. You will be the first and last friendly face clients see, handling phones, scheduling, billing, and greeting pets and their people.

You will support a collaborative team, maintain a welcoming lobby, and manage communications via phone, email, and text. Prior veterinary or client-facing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate and sympathetic with a professional attitude during emotional situations.
• Exceptional telephone and computer skills.
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and adapt to change.
• Preferred: Experience using a Practice Management System.

Responsibilities

• Answer practice phones, schedule well, sick, and surgical appointments.
• Issue invoices and accept payments after appointments.
• Keep lobby clean and organized at all times.
• Show care and empathy to clients and their pets.
• Answer emails and phone calls promptly.
• Greet visitors by name and coordinate with staff.
• Train new staff members as needed.
• Confirm appointments via client-preferred method the day before.
