Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary team in delivering optimal care for pets in a friendly, efficient environment. The role emphasizes client education, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, well-organized treatment area to ensure smooth patient flow and positive client experiences.

Competenze

• High School Diploma preferred; 18+ years old for radiography duties; one year of related experience with customer service preferred.
• Fluent English communication with strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical items for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician.
• Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations.
• Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance with position.
• Provide client education regarding preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans.
• Support Client Services Coordinator staff as needed.
• Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
• Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests as allowed by state rules and regulations.
• Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients.
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of hospital areas and instruments.
