Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary team in delivering compassionate care for pets and education for clients. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with routine procedures, and help maintain a clean hospital in a friendly, efficient environment.

The role requires ability to work weekends and evenings as needed, strong English communication, and a commitment to Banfield's Five Principles and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task across tasks and prioritize under distractions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and supplies for examinations.
• Restrain or hold pets during examination and procedures.
• Educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and equipment, and assist staff.
• Assist with in-house lab tests where allowed by state rules.
• Ensure comfort of hospitalized patients and monitor status.
