Job summary

Rentokil is seeking a Service Department Manager in the United States to lead branch operations, supervise service staff, and ensure high-quality pest control services. You’ll train staff, monitor compliance with standards, and address customer concerns while maintaining route coverage and inventory.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, communication, and math skills, plus knowledge of pesticides and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license from state of residence.
• 2–4 year degree strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to perform basic math and algebra.
• Knowledge of dry chemicals and pesticides.
• Familiar with DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directs, monitors, and motivates staff of the branch service department to provide quality service to all customers.
• Provides continued, up-to-date training of branch service and sales personnel.
• Inspects termite and pest control work to ensure company standards.
• Responds to customer complaints.
• Contacts pending cancellations to retain accounts.
• Maintains awareness of customers remaining to be serviced in the month.
• Takes responsibility of servicing pest routes when necessary.
• Maintains inventory.
