Northern Trust in the United States seeks a Personal/Universal Banker to deliver exceptional client service across a full range of banking products and services. You will interact with clients in person, by phone, and via email, processing new accounts, wires, transfers, and account maintenance.

The role emphasizes adherence to banking guidelines and risk management, collaborating with relationship management and NCSS teams to fulfill requests and expand client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of federal regulation & banking guidelines.
• Strong client service, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute and submit client account servicing requests (wires, transfers, account maintenance).
• Handle cash transactions and daily balancing activities.
• Understand and follow banking policies; escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with relationship management and NCSS teams to fulfill requests.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with Safe Deposit Boxes maintenance where applicable.
• Support banking audits and monitor reports as directed by leadership.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and services.
