Job summary

Paul & Carol David YMCA in Massillon, OH is seeking energetic Personal Trainers to support members with customized fitness plans and a welcoming environment for all backgrounds and abilities.

The role involves creating individualized programs, maintaining client documentation, and promoting YMCA values while scheduling flexible, part-time hours. CPR/AED certification and a four-year degree in Exercise Science or related field are required.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• CPR/AED certifications.
• Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
• YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning within 60 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Maintains well-documented, accurate and pertinent information on each client
• Follows through in a timely manner on initial communication with client
• Designs, maintains, and adjusts individual programs specific to the client's needs and wants in accordance with National YMCA guidelines
• Serves as a good role model by maintaining or improving their own personal fitness level
• Supports Y programs, promotions, and events
• Deals with each situation by using the YMCA Character Values
• Develops and maintains community collaborations
• Knows and abides by Y policies and procedures

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Interacts with new and existing members by providing specific individualized programs designed to meet his/her fitness needs and goals. Creates a welcoming environment for all members of all backgrounds and abilities.

Rate of Pay

$15 - $20/hour

Qualifications
