Job summary

The Louisville Area YMCA is seeking Personal Trainers to support the Y's mission by creating individualized fitness programs and welcoming all members. Interacts with new and existing members by providing specific individualized programs designed to meet his/her fitness needs and goals.

Creates a welcoming environment for all members of all backgrounds and abilities. The part-time position offers $15 - $20/hour, with complimentary memberships and discounts for staff including child care and

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Exercise Science or related field or certification from a nationally recognized accreditation agency.
• CPR/AED certifications.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.
• ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning within 60 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Maintains well-documented, accurate and pertinent information on each client
• Follows through in a timely manner on initial communication with client
• Designs, maintains, and adjusts individual programs specific to the client's needs and wants in accordance with National YMCA guidelines
• Serves as a good role model by maintaining or improving their own personal fitness level
• Supports Y programs, promotions, and events
• Deals with each situation by using the YMCA Character Values
• Develops and maintains community collaborations
• Knows and abides by Y policies and procedures
