Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County (Ohio) seeks a part-time Personal Trainer for Lake Community YMCA to tailor fitness programs for members and create an inclusive, supportive environment.

Responsibilities include documenting client progress, initiating contact, and adapting workouts per needs while aligning with YMCA policies. CPR/AED certification required; degree or equivalent accreditation preferred.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Exercise Science or related field and/or certification from a nationally recognized accreditation agency.
• CPR/AED certifications.
• Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
• YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning within 60 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Keeps well-documented, accurate information on each client.
• Follows up promptly on initial client communication.
• Designs and adjusts individual programs per client needs per YMCA guidelines.
• Supports Y programs, promotions, and events.

Rate of Pay

$15 - $20/hour

Qualifications

• Follows through in a timely manner on initial communication with client
• Designs, maintains, and adjusts individual programs specific to the client's needs and wants in accordance with National YMCA guidelines
• Serves as a good role model by maintaining or improving their own personal fitness level
• Supports Y programs, promotions, and events
• Deals with each situation by using the YMCA Character Values
• Develops and maintains community collaborations
• Knows and abides by Y policies and procedures
• Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.
