Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County is seeking Personal Trainers for the Eric Snow Family YMCA and Meyers Lake YMCA. The role focuses on creating individualized fitness programs, welcoming members from all backgrounds, and promoting healthy living as part of the YMCA mission.

The position offers hourly pay between $15 and $20 and requires a four-year degree in Exercise Science or related field plus CPR/AED certifications. Relevant experience with diverse populations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Exercise Science or related field and/or certification from a nationally recognized accreditation agency.
• CPR/AED certifications.
• Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
• YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning within 60 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Maintains well-documented, accurate and pertinent information on each client
• Follows through in a timely manner on initial communication with client
• Designs, maintains, and adjusts individual programs specific to the client's needs and wants in accordance with National YMCA guidelines
• Serves as a good role model by maintaining or improving their own personal fitness level
• Supports Y programs, promotions, and events
• Deals with each situation by using the YMCA Character Values
• Develops and maintains community collaborations
• Knows and abides by Y policies and procedures

Interacts with new and existing members by providing specific individualized programs designed to meet his/her fitness needs and goals.
