Job summary

Eric Snow Family YMCA and Meyers Lake YMCA in Kentucky are seeking part-time Personal Trainers. You will interact with members, create tailored fitness programs, and foster an inclusive environment aligned with YMCA values.

Ideal candidates hold a four-year degree or certification in exercise science, CPR/AED, and have experience with diverse populations. Completion of YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning within 60 days is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field or equivalent certification.
• CPR/AED certifications.
• Experience working with diverse populations preferred.
• YMCA/ACE Foundations of Strength & Conditioning certification within 60 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Maintains well-documented, accurate and pertinent information on each client.
• Follows through in a timely manner on initial communication with client.
• Designs, maintains, and adjusts individual programs specific to the client's needs and wants in accordance with National YMCA guidelines.
• Serves as a good role model by maintaining or improving their own personal fitness level.
• Supports Y programs, promotions, and events.
• Deals with each situation by using the YMCA Character Values.
• Develops and maintains community collaborations.
• Knows and abides by Y policies and procedures.

Position Summary

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Interacts with new and existing members by providing specific individualized programs designed to meet his/her fitness needs and goals. Creates a welcoming environment for all members of all backgrounds and abilities.

Rate of Pay

$15 - $20/hour

Qualifications
