Job summary

The University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, TX, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide routine support for personal computing hardware, software, and connected devices. You will assist users with issues and help maintain documentation to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires an associate degree with two years of hardware/software installation or desktop support, or a bachelor’s degree with no experience, or four years of an equivalent education and experience.

Qualifications

Associate degree with at least two years of hardware/software installation or desktop support.
Bachelor's degree in IT/CS with no prior experience allowed.
Four years of an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Assist users with personal computing hardware, software, and devices to resolve routine issues.
Perform installation, setup, configuration, and basic maintenance of computers, software, and peripherals.
Support daily technology operations including software updates, website maintenance, and audiovisual equipment as needed.
Maintain documentation of procedures, systems, and equipment, and track inventory to support operational needs.
Coordinate with IT resources to ensure technology is functional to support academic activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
