Job summary

Farmers Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Manager in Washington state to drive profit and growth for assigned markets, develop pricing and underwriting recommendations, and use market intelligence to position products effectively.

With 7+ years in US P&C product management or related roles, you will mentor analysts, collaborate across teams, and influence strategic decisions, all within Farmers' hybrid-in-office culture and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of experience in US property & casualty in a state product management, pricing or actuarial role; or related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Possesses strong technical aptitude.
• Experience in Excel required.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools, such as Python, R, and SQL preferred.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Has the ability to work in teams, embraces collaboration and networking.
• Embraces continuous learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Manages profit and growth for assigned markets or products and develops strategies to improve performance and address profitability opportunities.
• Develops and reviews recommendations related to product, underwriting, and pricing changes while making strategic rate‑setting recommendations.
• Uses market intelligence and performs competitor analysis to support business strategy and product positioning decisions.
• Communicates strategies and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Provides coaching, guidance, and development support to analysts and junior team members.
• Identifies opportunities to improve profitability, business processes, and operational effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
