Job summary

Maiar Labs is seeking its founding plaintiff-side PI litigator in Arizona, ideally Phoenix or Tucson. You will take cases on day one for injured Arizonans and shape how the practice runs, including signable case criteria, intake screening, and file movement to demand.

Must have 5+ years in PI litigation, be licensed in Arizona, and be able to own cases end-to-end toward settlement or verdict. You will lead as the first attorney in the building, with firm support from DearLegal as the practice

• Sign, develop, and resolve cases by settlement or verdict end-to-end.

Maiar Labs runs the business side of plaintiff-side personal injury practice: operations, capital, and case flow through DearLegal, our platform that connects injured plaintiffs with counsel.

We've already launched our first firm under this model in New Jersey, and we provide marketing, intake, and pre-litigation operations to other MSOs and their affiliated firms across the country. Now we're backing a new plaintiff's PI practice in Arizona, preferably based in the Phoenix or Tucson area, and it needs its founding litigator.

You'd be the first attorney in the building. On day one, you're taking cases for injured Arizonans. Just as important, you decide how the practice runs: what a signable case looks like, how intake screens for it, and how files move from signup to demand. As the firm adds associates, they learn the practice the way you built it.

What you won't do: chase leads, manage vendors, fix the CRM, or think about payroll. Everything that isn't practicing law sits with us.

Who we want

• A plaintiff-side personal injury litigator with 5+ years in the trenches
• Someone who can own a file end to end: sign it, work it up, and resolve it by settlement or verdict without anyone checking your homework
• Experience running intake and pre-lit, including case selection standards, records and liens, treatment tracking, and demand strategy, and a habit of thinking about them as systems
• Trial experience moves you to the front of the line
• Licensed and in good standing in Arizona
• Experience with Arizona courts, carriers, and local practice is a strong plus
• Bonus points if you've hung your own shingle before. You know exactly which headaches we're taking off your plate.
