Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking Personal Carers to provide in-home care across Kenmore and surrounding areas. You will support clients with daily activities, meal prep, hygiene, and light household tasks to enhance independence and quality of life.

Role requires Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent, a valid Driver’s Licence, and a roadworthy vehicle. Salary packaging benefits and travel reimbursements are offered.

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work is essential.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance (showering, hygiene, meal prep, housekeeping).
• Perform visits to clients in their homes, supporting independence and quality of life.
• Follow individual Care Plans and assist with community activities and appointments.

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• - Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• - In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• - Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• - Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• - Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
