Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE (a VOANS program) is hiring a Personal Caregiver in Eckert, CO. Shift options include 8- or 10-hour days, Monday–Friday, 4–5 days per week, with pay between $18.50 and $22.50 hourly based on experience.

The role supports frail or elderly participants with ADLs and IADLs in home and Day Center settings, in a compassion-driven, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience with frail or elderly population.
  • Active CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with non-skilled ADLs in the home and Day Center (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
  • Provide non-skilled restorative and supportive care including ambulating, positioning and transfers.
  • Assist with IADLs such as shopping, cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
  • Support Day Center activities including meal service and cleanup.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested.

What You Bring (Requirements)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • A minimum of one year's experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
  • Active CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation
What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living (ADL's) in the home and in the Day Center including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting as assigned or needed.
  • Assists participants with non-skilled restorative and supportive care in the home and in the Day Center including ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, personal care, etc. as assigned or needed.
  • Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL's) including, but not limited to, grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine household care as assigned.
  • Assists with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
  • Performs other duties as required or requested.
