Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE in Eckert, CO is seeking a Van Driver to transport SCC participants safely to medical appointments, activities, and home visits. You’ll help maintain participant comfort and communicate any safety concerns to the Transportation Manager.

This role emphasizes compassionate service, adherence to schedules, and attention to detail in routing. The position offers weekdays with occasional weekends and a pay range of $19.50–$23.50 per hour, plus benefits, Training

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License in Colorado required.
  • Minimum of one year experience with frail and elderly populations.
  • Ability to read and understand maps and routing information.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements in transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Transport SCC participants to medical appointments and outings.
  • Deliver meals, equipment, and pharmacy items as needed.
  • Provide attentive care to ensure participant satisfaction during transport.
  • Follow schedules and adjust as needed, coordinating with dispatch.

Pay Range: $19.50 - $23.50 per hour, based on previous work experience.

Schedules: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm with occasional weekends.

What You Bring (Requirements)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Valid Driver’s License in state of Colorado.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in working with the frail and elderly population.
  • Able to read and understand maps and routing information.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

The Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Senior Community Care (SCC) participants and communicating any safety issue to the Transportation Manager.

  • Transports participants to and from medical/specialist appointments, and activity outings, as requested by the Interdisciplinary Team via the plan of care.
  • Transports meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other items as deemed necessary for participant.
  • Responsible for Senior Community Care passengers during transport, providing care in a manner which ensures participant satisfaction.
  • Follows assigned schedule, makes adjustments to meet unanticipated changes, while considering the needs of the participant and requirements of the PACE Center. Communicates these changes to dispatch.
