Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE in Montrose, CO is seeking a Personal Caregiver/PCA to support participants in homes and Day Center settings. The role involves assisting with ADLs, mobility, and daily routines to improve quality of life for seniors.

Requirements include a High School diploma, at least 1 year of elder care experience, CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license, and being 21 or older. Travel to participant homes is required; weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with frail or elderly population.
• Active CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living in home and Day Center (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Assist with non-skilled restorative and supportive care (ambulating, transferring, skin care, etc.).
• Assist with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL) such as shopping, cleaning, laundry, meal prep.
• Assist with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and cleanup.
• Perform other duties as required.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour, based on previous work experience. Schedules: Fulltime, 80 hours per pay period. Days and shift vary on care needs. Occasional weekends are required. Travel: Requires travel to participant homes. You must be at least 21 years of age!

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High School diploma or equivalent required

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living (ADL's) in the home and in the Day Center including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting as assigned or needed.
• Assists participants with non-skilled restorative and supportive care in the home and in the Day Center including ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, personal care, etc. as assigned or needed.
• Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL's) including, but not limited to, grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine household care as assigned.
• Assists with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
• Performs other duties as required or requested.
