Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE in Montrose, CO is hiring a Personal Caregiver/PCA to support participants in their homes and in the Day Center. This is a full-time on-site role offering meaningful, paid work within a mission-driven healthcare setting.

The position requires a High School diploma, at least one year of experience with frail or elderly populations, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with frail or elderly individuals.
• Active CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with non-skilled ADLs in the home and Day Center (bathing, dressing, grooming, mouth care, etc.).
• Support non-skilled restorative and personal care in home/Day Center (ambulating, positioning, transfers, skin care).
• Assist with IADLs (grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, meals, etc.).
• Support participant activities in the Day Center including meal service and cleanup.
• Perform other duties as required or requested.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour, based on previous work experience.

Schedules: Fulltime, 80 hours per pay period. Days and shift vary on care needs. Occasional weekends are required.

Travel: Requires travel to participant homes. *You must be at least 21 years of age!

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
• Active CPR/First Aid Certification
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. *Must be at least 21 years of age.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living (ADL’s) in the home and in the Day Center including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting as assigned or needed.
• Assists participants with non-skilled restorative and supportive care in the home and in the Day Center including ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, personal care, etc. as assigned or needed.
• Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s) including, but not limited to, grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine household care as assigned.
• Assists with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
• Performs other duties as required or requested.
