Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE (Eckert) is seeking a Van Driver to safely transport participants to medical and activity appointments, delivering care with dignity and respect. This position offers a Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm schedule with occasional weekends.

Pay is $19.50–$23.50 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits including Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance and PTO. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Colorado driver’s license, and at least

  • Valid Driver’s License in Colorado.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with frail and elderly population.
  • Able to read and understand maps and routing information.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Transport participants to and from medical appointments and activities.
  • Transport meals, equipment, pharmacy items as needed.
  • Ensure participant safety and satisfaction during transport.
  • Communicate schedule changes to dispatch.

What You Bring (Requirements)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Valid Driver’s License in state of Colorado.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.
  • Have a minimum of one year experience in working with the frail and elderly population.
  • Able to read and understand maps and routing information.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry.

The Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Senior Community Care (SCC) participants and communicating any safety issue to the Transportation Manager.

  • Transports participants to and from medical/specialist appointments, and activity outings, as requested by the Interdisciplinary Team via the plan of care.
  • Transports meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other items as deemed necessary for participant.
  • Responsible for Senior Community Care passengers during transport, providing care in a manner which ensures participant satisfaction.
  • Follows assigned schedule, makes adjustments to meet unanticipated changes, while considering the needs of the participant and requirements of the PACE Center. Communicates these changes to dispatch.
