Job summary

AltaMed is seeking a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) II to provide ADLs/IADLs for PACE participants across center, home or virtual visits. The PCA II can cover PCA I duties as needed and supports care coordination with the interdisciplinary team.

Minimum requirements include CNA education and certification, a high school diploma (or some college), BLS certification, and bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide education and training.
• High school diploma required or some college education/credits preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained within 30 days of employment.
• Prior experience working with physically or mentally impaired older people is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, preferred.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
