Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. seeks a PCA III to oversee and coordinate PCAs, ensuring adherence to orders, while reporting to the Center Manager. The role collaborates across IDT meetings to support participant engagement in well-being and satisfaction surveys, and helps manage costs and supplies.

The position requires CNA training with CA certification, a high school diploma, and a valid BLS credential. Bilingual abilities (EN/ES/Mandarin/Cantonese) are preferred depending on location.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide education and training.
• Nurse Assistant Certificate by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services - Aid and Technician Certification.
• High school diploma required, or some college education/credits preferred.
• California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained w/in 30 days of employment.
• Prior experience working with physically or mentally impaired older people is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, preferred.
• Experience working with the elderly patient population.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate PCA work and ensure compliance with orders.
• In the absence of the PCA Supervisor, seek direction from the Center Manager and Nursing Supervisor.
• Assist in coordinating team assignments, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations for PCA staff.
• Support engagement of PACE participants in surveys, wellbeing, and cost containment of supplies.
